c)  Shows - You cannot go to NYC without seeing a few shows, esp the musicals. There are also stand up clubs and plays with famous actors doing their bit parts on Broadway. Currently Bette Midler is doing a play there. The tourist trick usually is to queue for half price tockets at those TKTS booths around the city but usually you end up with shows you don't really want to see. I was all geared up to watch The Book of Mormons but its booked solid for the next 3 months but I believe you can still get these premium tickets from your bellhop for $250 plus a generous tip. Normal tickets for top shows cost between $150-230 but the best way is to book beforehand from this site Broadtickets:

http://www.broadticket.com/broadway.html

The great thing is that it will set you back just about $100 but you get great seats confirmed before you go. I have booked for Jersey Boys, Avenue Q and Motown.

d) Sight-seeing - If its your first couple of times, you need not take the tour packges which are really moving packs of sardines through the city in an unforgiving manner. Always take free and easy then buy packages beforehand. The best site is aviator. As you can see, they are reasonably priced.

For those of you "value" travelers, I would like to share a valuable "hack" that I found when I was in NYC. You can save quite a bit of money with a City Pass. It is a package of 6 attractions:

1. Empire State Building
2. Museum of Natural History (highly recommended!!)
3. Metropolitan Museum of Art
4. Museum of Modern Art
5. Top of the Rock
6. Statue of Libery and Ellis Island OR Circle Line Cruise

You can get all this for only USD109. If you go on these things separately, it will cost you USD185.

The best part of having this ticket is, you can skip a lot of the lines at some of these attractions!

Dali,do not forget to visit the packed cash cow racino owned by Genting. Also soon winter racing will be switch to Aqueduct, home of the racino. If your visit coincides with the racing calender you might be able to catch some live racing too.In Autumn racing there are still some good horses left, before they begin their yearly migration to the sunshine state.

The S&P and Nasdag are trading just slightly below the up channel. With the euphoria and complacency it might be breached, but definitely it will be met with heavy selling. Also the Aussie is going to hit a brick wall if it can go any higher than .9700.

I added to the S&P and Aussie at MOC on Friday.S&P stops moved to 1787 in case of a bunch of stops hit in case of spike up.But by the time you arrive in NY,you will definitely missed the start of the loading up of the bulls onto the trailers.Have a wonderful weekend.

Safe journey and enjoy some times with your loved one.

Just love to enjoy the jazz and some good wine watching people walking past....,

Google has surpassed 1k for the first time ever, helping the Nasdag to be within 1k of it's all time high before the tech bubble burst. And helping the S&P into uncharted territories again, and the Dow tagging along but by only 20 pts.

With the majors trading just under the higher end of the up-channels,just a correction to the lower end of the channel will heap huge profits.Even if stopped out at 1787,we will still be profitable for the year. The only thing I do not like is eating kopi O with coffee for the rest of the year.

But on second thoughts very very strong kopi O has almost the same kick as beers,if not brandys. But then I might have to throw the computer and tv out the windows. And I never like the other guy taking even one cent of my hard earned money. But hey, like I always said, losing is just part of the game.

Just some hints for the road.My 2 cts worth. The markets up another 3% or down 6% or more from now onwards till end of year. For a 1/2 odds,I will take the down 6% or more.Go figure.

NY city is a place for throwing away our hard earned tax money. So is LA.Ask J Lho.He threw away a few hundred k's to millions just by kissing, smelling asses and hugs by hostesses to celebrities such as Paris Hilton. But hey,who can blamed him.Especially when one has a sugar daddy well known far and wide over the planet as Jibby.
