Manchester United Forever

This season has not been easy for Man United, all the points were hard fought. Safe to say, this Man United team is nowhere near the quality and polish of the last team that won the Champions League, which is why its all the more satisfying. To score two goals away, Ferguson would have said well done, but after watching the match, it was a shooting gallery, Man United could have put 5 away. Somehow if we only had Ole Gunnar Solksjear, it would have been a foregone conclusion.

Still, we worry about meeting Barca in the final, which is why many would be hoping that Real Madrid can dump Barca out. However, if it was meant to be, I think meeting Barca in the final would be a good thing as Man United would be the underdog, and thats a good feeling.

Better watch the video before its banned by YouTube, its the highlights from the match.

Man U is not a term United fans refer to themselves as. The term is only used by other supporters as a complete and utter insult to our club. The "u" is meant to be "you" by the rival fans.

An early example of its usage is this chant by West Brom fans: "Duncan Edwards is manure, rotting in his grave, man you are manure- rotting in your grave". The origin of "Man u" is a song to insult the dead Duncan Edwards.

Liverpool and Leeds fans copied this with their own man you /u versions to insult all of the lads who died at munich.

"Man U Man U went on a plane Man U Man U never came back again"

and..

"Man U Never Intended Coming Home" (if you combine the first letter of each word you get the word "munich").

I hope this makes it clearer that saying man u is an insult, particularly to the older supporters and to see United fans using it now is shameful. I hope a few might read this, understand and spread the word.

Why if some Liverpool and Leeds fans or even any other rivals fans created another term to make the word "Man Utd" or "Man United" into an insulting phrase?

Do we need to bother and NOT use the "Man Utd" or "Man United" as well??

we are die hard fans of Man United, who the hell cares about what terms our rivals created or whatsoever? -.-'''

you could always go to footytube.com to get highlights of matches all the time without worrying it will be removed.

I agree with drunkvirus. I cant understand how supporters can think of such chants! Absolutely CRAZY and shameful the amount of hate in it.

I admire Neuer's performance on that night. But to me, this keeper is subject to moments of madness. Maybe dats y sir alex didnt go all out for him.
