Professor Glen Arnold is the Professor of Investing at Salford University in UK. He is the author of numerous finance and investing books including Corporate Financial Management, The Handbook of Corporate Finance and the Financial Times Guide to Investing, all published by Financial Times – Prentice Hall. His book “The Great Investors: Lessons on Investing from Master Traders”, is part of the Financial Times Series, and was published in December 2010.
His brilliance is after studying the great masters, including Ben Graham, Philip Fischer, Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger, he took the salient pointers and injected his own cohesive investing theory to amalgamate the best from the masters to come up with a quite definitive philosophy, Valuegrowth Investing.
All you need to know, should know about the time tested investing philosophies will be examined, dissected and analysed to get to the bottom of each of the great investors' mindset. Its going to be a thrilling full day seminar. Possibly the most worthwhile few hundred ringgit you will get to spend to improve your investing decision making in one single day.
Koon Yew Yin will be making an opening address for the seminar and the event will be moderated by me. Early bird purchases (before March 9) will be RM563pp (coffee break and lunch included), after that date it will cost RM723pp. It will be a sustained and emphatic full day session but well worth your while. I can think of no better investing seminar to bring to Malaysia than Professor Glen Arnold.
Professor Arnold will be making his tour to India and will only be coming to Malaysia in his tour of Asia. Limited seats as 35% of tickets have been pre-booked already, and one seminar only. Be there. You should be better at investing decision making after attending the seminar, and I am sure you will make a lot less unwise investing decisions as well.

Why so expensive?
the first comment from anyone, and it has to be why so expensive...
be nice, so, only say something is cheap or expensive if you know a little bit about the industry rates for holding these kind of seminars
the SC seminars go for a few hundred sometimes and usually all locals
some of the more specialised ones usually run in the 4 figures territory
now, if you plan to organise this, how many staff do you think you need? x
how much to fly the speaker over (biz class)? y
accomodation? t
speaking fees? r
ticketing charges and commissions? f
now add all that and think how many can you get to attend ... of course you can rent a 1,000 hall capacity, will you fill it?
if you price at RM100 does that mean you can get 2,000 people?
if you price at RM200 does that mean 1,000 people?
now go and do yr sums and try to tell me a fair price, dude
venue and capacity?
oh yeah, david,
check and see how much for full days fee per person plus coffee and lunch as well
Does it come with any materials, meaning notes or books? Thanks

Dali,
Why don't you offer few tickets as lucky draw for your loyal reader who have been reading your blog for so long ?
Do the speaker provide relevant example applicable to Malaysian market for equity investment?
hi,
why do we need a foreigner or a british which teach in salford, uk to give speech here ?
does this speaker have broad knowledge of local stocks market ?
secondly, salford is just an ordinary uni in uk.
I believe "cheap" or "expensive" depends on what you're comparing with.
I totally agree with Salvatore_Dali's point. Also, if you're investing RM 100k, the course fee represents only 0.5% of your capital. And if you're investing with RM 1 Million, well, the seminar fees becomes insignificant, especially when it can help you to gain higher return.
Buffett has said many times that the best investment is in yourself. Thus, i doubt the seminar is expensive when it's an investment in ourself. Besides, the speakers and materials are good. I personally own a number of his books, loved them.
Jim Rohn says , "Formal education makes you a living. Self-education makes you a fortune."
And i'll definitely come especially when i can see the great Malaysian investor, mr. Koon Yew Yin in person.
Hi Dali,
I have bought my ticket to come and looking forward to it!
I would also like to read Professor Glen Arnold's book beforehand!
Anyone knows where I can get in Malaysia a copy of the book ValueInvesting?
Hello Live Long MU Fan,
I got it at book depository. It cost USD 35. Alternatively, you may click the link below , and would help me to earn referral fee. http://www.bookdepository.com/Financial-Times-Guide-Value-Investing-Glen-Arnold/9780273724520/?a_aid=tanshuyin
Thanks in advance.
Hi Peter,
I check..Amazon is cheaper by US$10 but no free shipping to Malaysia. So, I bought thru your link.
Thanks
Thank you very much! Hope you enjoy the book as much as i do. The book "The Great Masters" can be obtained from our bookstore, but i believe bookdepository is cheaper by 30% or so.
