Making up the list is not easy. We have to rule out the obvious, those in PN17 don't count anymore. Those indicted or have legal cases pending with SC also do not count. It has to do with failure to extract real value, failure to lead well, failure to unlock values, failure to respect minority shareholders or employees, a limited mindset, etc.
Let's make this interesting. I usually never have more than 10 comments from readers. If there are more than 20 postings from readers who would like to see such a list, then I will do it despite my wiser instincts - hey, live a little.

One vote from me. Nine more to come.
BTW, your risk is not big, there are 1500+ companies in Malaysia and many more in the world. Making 10 enemies won't kill your career. haha.
raise me hands n me feet here~!
would love to see your list :)
idiot, if i were tp create a list of worst bloggers, you will top the list, dont worry.
First
CHE KHALIB of TNB?
Be yourself, speak your mind. Once in a while we should take stock of matters around us.
Hi S Dali,
Get it on with the worst CEO list! who know next time we will have a list of best improved CEO, best turn around CEO, etc. Under your suggestion of being a great CEO criteria number 2 - courage/ excellent decision making skills/ decisiveness, if a CEO got no courage to admit their wrong and couldn't see their wrong or couldn't accept criticism from a blogger, he should not be a CEO at all :)
Here's the 10th vote. After this, please compile a list of the most highly-paid CEOs. I guess LKT will top the list.
would love to see your list :)
i m the ten
the list pls !
I have some in my mind. Some tycoon names too.
Tycoon can be boss of many listed companies...
Show the list, so that investors are more aware of their risk.
I tell you one, an "outdated" one:
The Yeo brothers of Megan Media.
Haha...
I guess one of the list will be the highest paid CEO
go ahead with the list dali, you wouldn't want to be working with those you have named anyway?
You HAVE to come up with that list. Also maybe a another list of "where they are now" of CEO's who were once touted to be great ;)
Cheers!!! :D
Raise the curtain, Dali!
Come on S Dali! You have my vote for posting the Worst CEOs list.
Name them and quote how they fail
some of the worst CEOs are only the list because of their ability to screw the listed company. many rise to become CEO through lots of effort whilst the others through polical means.
apart from the political way, many CEOs (cum owner) bring the company public with only one motive..to cash-out!
Dali. Best NOT to do it. Not the right time. The time will come. But not now though.
It indeed sound very interesting to me and for the sake of the public interest, I think you should just speak out whoever you think should be highlighted.
vincent tan? francis yeoh?
worst CEO can be from various standpoint.
1 aspect that will be most interesting I guess should be the ones who mislead the public the most. Have a crack at it am sure it will help towards greater transparency in the market. ;)
Dear All,
TY for your comments and views. I would like to post it up as well, but a couple of my lawyer friends have advised me against it. This is still a visible blog with a lot of readers. Its probably the most read english blog, and the legal repercussions are enormous. Notice how litigious Malaysians are nowadays, ppl suing each other left right and center. I do not have the resources or time to waste defending this in courts.
Maybe at another time, or when the society is more democratic and open to these kind of views. Nobody wants to be on those kind of lists even when they deserve to be there.
So, thanks again and I hope you all understand why I just had to give this a miss.

another vote from me
Please create a list Dali.
It's not so much to shame and fame. but for them to see the reality..!! wake them (or jolt) from the comfy seat..!
who knows.. they might appear on your best CEO list next year or the most improved CEO list by the end of the year!
(and start calling some of your lawyer friends too.., just in case) :)
Pls do it, but in a "lighthearted", perhaps a little cynical way. After all, you can always put a disclaimer that says the article is solely your opinion blah blah, can't you?
And what the hell is Fu Ee saying? Can you sue him/her?
Dali,
I think the list is important in deciding which stocks that we shouldn't touch. How about making a list of 'Investors Beware'? You don't have to tell us not to invest in these companies. Just a list for us to be extra cautious and to study further of these companies before investing our hard-earned money. You are doing great public service by coming up with the list.
Hi Dali,
Since you cannot come out with a list of the worst, I suggest you come out with a list of the best.
Dear Dali,
Yup. We bloggers do not have the 'freedom' to blog or write what WE wanted to.
You are such a wise person, definitely you could foresee the 'complications'.
It will be interesting to know your list, tho. I have few in my mind. Haha.
TEH
Hi Dali,
Why don't you do a poll for the worst CEO of the top 30 companies listed in Bursa.
Good to publish the list here... So that they don't continue to makan gaji buta :p
Nice CEO Pic's hehe
